Just a hint....

We're moving! I'm so excited! :) Here's a picture of the house:

I've already moved all of my scrap stuff over there and have been working on my "office" as time allows. We don't officially move until next weekend. For the most part, this has been a breeze. The landlord is good, the rent and location are perfect and I personally love the layout:

Mind you, that's a drawing by yours truely. Anyway, the blue part is the living room/dining room, the brown is my office and the grey is the bedrooms. And the kitchen is so much bigger than this apartment and I actually have a pantry! Does it get any better? So far the only issue has been the arrival of my tax incentive check. The IRS had my change of address on file 5.4.08 in anticipation of them sending out the check 6.7.08. However, they decided to send the checks early, and my notice of my check came to my OLD address. And when I talked to someone at the IRS, they weren't sure where they were sending it. Seriously. So it's in Post office limbo. Oh well, it'll make it. And when it does, that's buying a BBQ grill for us.

New stuff going on around here.... My job is only guarenteed through 6.2.08 when the Philipines takes over. Although, rumor has it I'll be employed through fiscal year end. Yeah me! I have looked for available positions and nothing is out there, or they can't help me because my company isn't giving references. Nice, huh?
My dumb brother and his gf were caught doing meth again. CPS has taken unsupervised visits away from them. And parole & probation is on my brothers butt. I doubt it will take 6 months before he's in prison. Very, very sad.
I saw my nephew today. OMG! He's still the cutest baby ever. We're seriously thinking about entering him into contests. It's his eyes. I've never seen eyes so blue.

Lizzie's team won both games she has played in so far. They're really proving themselves, despite the stigma attached to the team. Yeah, they're from the Boys & Girls club and yeah, they're equipment is old and beaten to hell. But these kids have heart. The one's that have stuck around and come to practices and come to the games really want to be there. And it shows. I'm really proud of them. :)

I signed them up for the summer program at the BGC. It'll be a short summer for them, so it won't be so bad. They're new school is a track school, and they're classes start in July. Sweet! Nathan will start speech and the girls will start the next grade before they forget what they learned in the last one.

And I will officially become a student this fall. My 4 classes are all paid for, as are the books and Microsoft Office 2007. I was thinking about possibly changing my major to something dealing with computers since I am so fond of the little buggers. LOL I like accounting and I'm good at it, but it seems like the IT people don't get laid off like the rest of the crowd. And really, could it hurt if I had dual degrees? I think not. I'll have to wait and see what, if anything, is going to be offered because of this layoff. There are supposed to be retraining benefits, etc... If so, I'm using them. I'd be stupid not to.

All righty....it's almost 10pm which is known as bedtime around these parts. I'm gonna go look at 2Peas gallery until I'm drowsy and try to wake up on time tomorrow. Peace out!
